This is the 2½” Original Utilikilt Belt. I first designed this belt back when I got my first Utilikilt at the Spring Escondido Renaissance Faire 2004. I soon discovered that my regular pants belt just did not cut it as a kilt belt. So, I started working on a design for the belt.

I lost count of how many different variations I made. 

Then at the Fall Escondido Renaissance Faire 2004, it happened. A customer came into my booth wearing his New Utilikilt that he had just purchased and wanted a belt for it. I started working on the belt and within a few minutes the belt started to come together. After some fine tuning I came up with this design.     

These belts will work on most Kilts. These kilt belts are are 2 ½” wide and are are 30" - 62" long. As you can see these belts will fit very skinny to us Big Guys. Each belt is made from 9 – 10 ounce premium Latigo full top grain Leather for years of use. Edges are burnished (polished and sealed) all-the-way around. This belt comes with the Celtic Knot Shield Buckle (as seen in pictures) and 6 of the Lindisfarne Spiral Concho (as seen in pictures).

Please follow these steps for your belt. 

Step 1. Select your belt Size (Put your Kilt on, take a tape measure or a heavy cord feed it through the loops like you would your belt. If you used the cord, measure the cord and add 2” to the total length. If you used a tape measure add 2” to the total.) Each belt has 2” of adjustment up & down. 

Step 2. Chose the Buckle that you would like on your belt. Your choices are Round Celtic Knot Buckle, Celtic Knot Shield Buckle, Celtic Shield Buckle, or Celtic Tree of Life Buckle.

Step 3. Chose the concho that you would like to have on your belt. Your choices are Lindisfarne Spiral Concho, Pictish Knot Concho, Or the Kell Dragon Concho.
